Join a collaborative and well-supported rural emergency team in upstate New York. This is an excellent opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider looking to build experience in a critical care setting with flexibility in scheduling and a manageable patient load.
Position Highlights:
- Role: Emergency Medicine APP overseeing a small Observation Unit (2–3 patients)
- Start Date: 8/4/25 - 8/8/25 and then one week per month (5 days consecutive ongoing)
- Shift Options: 12-hour shifts, 7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–7 AM
- Schedule: Must be flexible and able to work in blocks
- Patient Volume: Approx. 26 patients per day (9,500 annually)
- Setting: Rural ED with single physician coverage
- No Fast-Track Area
- Primary responsibility: Rounding and patient care in the Observation Unit
- Assist in the Emergency Department under direct supervision of ED physician when not covering Obs Unit and addressing lower acuity ED patients
- Work collaboratively with on-site physician and nursing team
- EPIC used for documentation
- Board Certified NP or PA
- Active New York license required
- DEA, BLS, ACLS required
- New grads welcome with confidence in emergency or acute care settings
- Must be able to commit to block scheduling
