Locums – Physical Medicine & Rehab (PM&R) – Billings, Montana
Inpatient Only | 1 Week/Month | Beeper Call | Cerner EMR Assignment Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Ongoing
• Schedule: 1 week/month
  • Hours: Monday–Sunday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Call Requirements:

• Type: Beeper
• Frequency: Night & weekend call for own caseload
  • Hours: 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM
  • Phone Consults: 1–2 per night
  • Rounding: Yes (assigned and unassigned patients)

Clinical Setting:

• Type: Inpatient only
• Facility: 34-bed free-standing inpatient rehab facility
  • Current census cap: 27
  • Partnered with two local Level I Trauma Centers
• Patients Seen Daily: 24–27
• Admissions/Shift: Up to 5, average ~2
• Support: Full hospital team + in-house internal medicine

Patient Demographics / Case Mix:

• Age Range: Adults 18+
• Neuro: 60% (TBI, NTBI, MS, Parkinson’s, spinal cord injuries)
• Stroke: 32%
• Orthopedic: 27%
• General Rehab: 8%
• Cardio/Pulmonary: 4%

Technology / EMR:

• EMR System: Cerner

Reason for Coverage:

• Physician transition

Credential Requirements:

• Board Certification in PM&R: Required
• Fellowship Trained: Preferred
• Certifications (All Required):
  • ABLS
  • ACLS
  • ATLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
