- Week of November 24
- December 22 – January 2
- Mon/Wed/Fri: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Tues/Thurs: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
May stay later for cardiac or general case coverage
- 1 cardiac surgery per day (not daily)
- Assist with 5–7 general OR cases/day when no cardiac case is scheduled
- Perform and interpret TEE procedures (required for billing)
- May occasionally oversee CRNAs or work at ASC if no cardiac cases scheduled
- ORs in Use: 8
- Anesthesiologists in Group: 6
- Patients: Adolescent to geriatric (very sick pediatric patients are referred out)
- EMR: Cerner (transitioning to Epic), some paper documentation
- Annual Cardiac Volume: Projected 90 pump/open-heart cases in 2025
- Supervision Model: Primarily solo; CRNA students rotate through ORs
- License: Active Iowa license or IMLC (LOQ must be submitted at name clear) – Required
- Board Certification:
- Cardiac Anesthesiology BC – Preferred (will consider BE)
- Cardiac Fellowship – Preferred (extensive experience + TEE certified acceptable)
- Estimated time: 8–12 weeks
