Locums – Anesthesiologist
Location: Vidalia, Georgia
Start Date: October 1, 2025
Setting: Hospital-Based Anesthesia Care Team Model Schedule & Call

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Call: 1:4 (unrestricted); CRNA also on call from home
  • No post-call day off, but post-call MD is first out
  • Pre-call MD is next out
• Patient Population: Adults only

Anesthesia Team Model

• Staffing:
  • 4 full-time MDs (3 present most mornings, 2 on Wednesdays)
  • 5 full-time + 1 part-time CRNAs
  • Long-term providers on staff
  • Supervision model (MDs supervising CRNAs)

Clinical Details

• Anesthetizing Locations:
  • 6 Main ORs
  • 7 L&D Suites
  • 2 Endo Suites
  • Cath Lab / Fluoroscopy-Radiology
• Concurrent Locations Covered: 4 (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Surgical Case Mix:
  • Orthopedics, ENT, Pediatrics, GI, Spine, Urology, OB
  • No heads, no hearts
• Surgical Volume: ~3,000 – 3,200 cases/year
  • Friday = busiest; Wednesday = lightest
• OB Volume: ~700–800 deliveries annually
  • 90% labor epidurals/C-sections
  • 30% C-section rate
  • No VBACs
  • L&D located on same floor as ORs
  • MDAs stay in-house when labor epidural is active

Licensure & Certifications – Required

• Board Certification / Eligibility: BC or BE in Anesthesiology
• GA Medical License: Must be current
• DEA/CSR: Required
• EMR Experience: Required
