Locums – Galesburg, Illinois, Gastroenterologist Job

Clinical Role:

• Locum job opening
• Must have an active Illinois medical license and be board certified in Gastroenterology
• Must be available a minimum of 5 consecutive shifts per month (more preferred)

Description:
• General GI – care of acute and chronic GI conditions, new patient access, endoscopies, and hospital consults
• Expected median productivity
• The group will work with the locum physician on call expectations — prefer as much call coverage as possible, but open to multiple candidates
• Responsibilities include outpatient support, ambulatory scopes, patient admits, and rounding
• Current locums have been providing a mix of ambulatory, inpatient, and ED coverage — this remains the preferred model

Required Procedures:
• General GI care
• Endoscopies
• Hospital consults

Schedule:
• Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Possible night call
• No weekend coverage
