Schedule / Shift Details:

06:00–18:00

Single physician coverage
-
New providers must arrive one day prior to first shift for onboarding
Setting / Practice Details:

Level IV Trauma Center
-
~11,000 annual visits
-
Must care for patients across the lifespan (all ages)
-
Provider leads resuscitations and coordinates trauma care
-
EMR: Epic
Clinical Requirements / Skills:
-
Intubation & advanced airway management
-
Chest tube placement & central line insertion
-
Procedural sedation
-
Adult & pediatric resuscitation
-
Orthopedic emergencies
-
Leadership during trauma resuscitations & multidisciplinary crisis management
Role Responsibilities:
-
Perform comprehensive evaluations, diagnostics, and medical decision-making
-
Order/interpret labs, radiology, and EKGs
-
Lead and coordinate trauma care per Level IV Trauma standards
-
Determine appropriate disposition: admission, transfer, discharge
-
Ensure EMTALA compliance for transfers and documentation
-
Collaborate with hospital staff and consultants
-
Maintain accurate EPIC documentation and regulatory compliance
Credentials / Requirements:
-
Board Certification preferred: Emergency Medicine
• Family Medicine with EM experience accepted — rural/critical access experience strongly preferred -
Active & unrestricted North Dakota medical license
-
ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and DEA required
-
Minimum 2 years EM experience required
