Position Overview

• Role: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Specialty: Cardiovascular / Cardiothoracic Surgery

• Setting: Hospital-Based

Team Structure

• Cardiovascular Surgeons: 2
• Advanced Practice Providers (APPs): 3

Clinical Volume

• Program Volume: ~90 surgeries/procedures per month

Procedures Supported

• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)
• Thoracotomies
• Lobectomies
• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) repairs
• Arterial bypasses
• Aortic valve replacements

Schedule

• Inpatient Coverage: Primary focus
• Clinic: 1 day per week
  • 15–20 post-op patients
• Call: No call

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rounding
• Surgical consults
• Emergency department consult coverage

Additional Notes

• High-volume, established CV/CT surgery program
• Strong surgeon and APP support
• Excellent opportunity for APPs seeking no-call surgical roles
