Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible neurologist
6-12+ month need
Outpatient with the occasional inpatient consult
You’d work 2-4 weeks a month (up to you)
Work 3-4 days a week at one site, 1-2 days a week at another
Monday-Friday
8a-5p with an unpaid hour lunch
No call
EMGs are required - performing and interpreting
Skills to interpret EEGs is highly desirable
Ability to obtain NH perm license quickly (physician must be willing and engaged in completing application, fingerprints, etc ASAP) – locum license available while you obtain a perm license
Full payer enrollment required
Most commonly diagnoses encountered are:
Migraine
Memory loss
Essential tremor
Parkinson’s disease
Cognitive impairment
Dizziness
Epilepsy
Multiple sclerosis
Polyneuropathy
Headache
Partners with other members of neurology team (e.g., radiologist, EEG technologists, MAs and RNs, physical therapists)
12-16 patients per day (2-4 which are new)
Prefer candidates have prior experience (at least 2-5 years) in broad spectrum of general neurology.
Selected new graduates from residency or fellowship training may be eligible.
Prior experience in a small hospital or CAH desired
