Locums Opportunity – Radiology with Mammography

Location: Grass Valley, California
Start Date: Mid-July
Duration: 9–12 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 2 weeks per month
Call: None
Setting: Outpatient Clinic

Required Credentials

• Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology – Highly preferred, or Board Eligible
• California Medical License – REQUIRED
• BLS/ACLS – REQUIRED
• DEA – REQUIRED

Experience & Skills

• Diagnostic Radiology with Mammography privileges
• Ability to perform breast biopsies
• Reading of PET scans preferred
• Able to read studies from ED, inpatient, and outpatient
• Teleradiology backup available (MRG) if needed

---

Patient Volume / Procedures

• Mammography procedures (wire localization, biopsy, etc.): 13/month
• Screening mammograms: 225/month
• Diagnostic mammograms: 30/month
• Other reads may include: CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound
• Radiologist on site for mammography 3 days/week

Practice Environment

• EMR: Cerner
• Support Staff: Radiology techs, US techs, other staff
• Reason for coverage: Current locum taking a 6-month break
• No specific fellowship required

Duties

• Read studies of all modalities
• Perform diagnostic mammograms and breast biopsies
• Optional PET, CT, MRI, X-ray, US reading as able
