Locums to Perm – Plymouth, Indiana | Hematology/Oncology Opportunity (IMLC Accepted)
Clinical Role
Join a growing outpatient hematology/oncology program with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role. This position focuses on infusion coverage across two campuses while helping build and expand a new service line.
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Length: Ongoing (Minimum 6 months; potential for permanent placement)

- Balanced practice: 50% hematology / 50% oncology
- Strong multidisciplinary oncology support
Schedule & Coverage
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Infusion Coverage:
- Mishawaka campus: 3 days per week
- Plymouth campus: 2 days per week
- Evening call coverage required
- No inpatient rounding (0 hospital patients per day)
Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Setting: Outpatient Clinic / Infusion Center
Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric
Patient Volume: ~30 patients per day
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing outpatient hematology and oncology patients
- Providing infusion center coverage at two campuses
- Ordering and interpreting labs and imaging
- Prescribing and managing chemotherapy treatments
- Participating in tumor board discussions
- Managing bone marrow transplant patients
- Coordinating care with nurse oncologists and care teams
Procedures
Required:
- Management of VAD/CV catheters
- Bone marrow biopsy
Additional Responsibilities:
- Blood bank coordination
- Chemotherapy administration (in collaboration with physician and nurse oncologist)

Facility Details:
- New and expanding oncology service line
- Dual-campus coverage (Plymouth and Mishawaka)
Technology:
- EMR: Epic
Credentialing Timeline:
- With Indiana license: ~60 days
- Without license: ~90 days
Requirements
- Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology (AMBS/AOA) – required
- Competency in both hematology and oncology – required
- Active Indiana license or IMLC with LOQ – required
- BLS – required
- Willingness to commit to a minimum 6-month assignment – required
