Clinical Role
Join a fast-paced urgent care team as a PRN Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, providing high-quality, patient-centered care for acute illnesses and injuries. This role offers flexibility with as-needed scheduling and the opportunity to work independently in a supportive clinical environment.

Position Highlights:

Schedule & Coverage

  • PRN/as-needed coverage
  • Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • No set schedule; flexible based on coverage needs

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

Setting: Urgent Care

Patient Population: All ages

Patient Volume: 12–15 patients per day

Responsibilities Include:

  • Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries
  • Performing procedures such as laceration repair, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (X-rays, labs, etc.)
  • Prescribing medications and developing treatment plans
  • Providing patient education and follow-up care instructions
  • Maintaining accurate documentation in the EMR
  • Ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines, OSHA, and HIPAA standards
  • Collaborating with physicians and clinical staff as needed

Procedures:

  • Laceration repair (suturing)
  • Splinting
  • Incision and drainage
  • Wound care
  • Minor surgical procedures

Requirements

  • Current NP or PA license – required
  • Active state license and DEA – required
  • Board Certified (or eligible if recently graduated) – required
  • BLS – required (ACLS preferred)
  • Urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience – preferred
  • Ability to perform minor procedures – required
