Locums – Galesburg, Illinois – Gastroenterologist Opportunity

Clinical Role:

• Locum tenens Gastroenterology position
• Seeking a board certified gastroenterologist
• Active Illinois medical license required
• Minimum availability: 5 consecutive shifts per month (more preferred)
• Practice includes general GI for acute and chronic conditions
• Mix of outpatient clinic, ambulatory endoscopy, inpatient consults, and ED coverage
• Balanced ambulatory/inpatient/ED model
• Responsibilities include:
  • New patient access
  • Endoscopies
  • Hospital consults
  • Admissions and rounding
• Expected median productivity
• Flexible group – willing to collaborate on call expectations
• Open to multiple locum providers

Clinic & Endoscopy Details:

• Typical 5-day schedule:
  • 3 days clinic
  • 2 days endoscopy
• Endoscopy:
  • Monitored anesthesia care or moderate sedation
  • Propofol or Versed/Fentanyl
  • Up to 12 scopes per day
• Clinic volume is flexible to accommodate inpatient consults
• ERCP / EUS not required

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday
• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Possible night call
• No weekend coverage
