Locums – Anderson, South Carolina | Urology Opportunity

Coverage Dates:
July 10 @ 6am - July 13 @ 6am
July 17 @ 6am - July 20 @ 6am
August - 1-2 weekends per month ongoing
Schedule: 24-hour call coverage (6:00 AM – 6:00 AM)
Reason for Coverage: Building locum coverage pool

Position Highlights:

• 100% inpatient and ED-based urology coverage
• No other urologists onsite during assignment
• Established group with 4 urologists
• Onsite lab and X-ray available
• Strong surgical case mix

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Setting: Hospital (ED & Inpatient Only)
Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric
Patient Volume:

• 15–20 patients per day
• 2–5 hospital-based surgeries per weekend

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing 24-hour urology call coverage
• Managing ED consults and inpatient urologic cases
• Performing urgent and emergent urologic procedures
• Delivering comprehensive surgical and medical urology care

Procedures:

• Ureteroscopy
• Laparoscopic surgeries
• General urology procedures
• Trauma-related urology care
• Nephrectomy and partial nephrectomy (with intraoperative ultrasound)
• Incontinence procedures

Support & Technology
Facility Details:

• Trauma Level II facility
• Lab and imaging available onsite

Technology:

• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Board Certified in Urology – required
• Active South Carolina license – required (no exceptions)
• Clean background – required (no exceptions)
• Experienced providers only (no new grads)
• BLS/ACLS – preferred

Organization & Team

• Established urology group with 4 providers
• Independent coverage during assignment
• Facility support services available onsite
