- Provider added to ongoing locum pool for future shifts
Licensure
- Georgia medical license: Required
- DEA & CSR (GA): Required
Certifications
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology: Required
- BLS & ACLS: Required
Experience
- Adult inpatient gastroenterology
- ERCP training preferred (only candidates with prior GI privileges at St. Mary’s considered)
- Must be local
Facility & Setting
- 196-bed acute care hospital
- Inpatient care only (adult patients; occasional pediatric ER visits)
- EMR: Epic
Clinical Scope
- Cover all inpatient GI patients as handed off by local GI physicians
- Manage new ED or inpatient GI consults
- Return patients to local GI physicians after coverage
- “Bread and Butter” GI procedures; ERCP if trained
Shift & On-Call Requirements
- 24-hour call coverage with rounding
- Weekend coverage included
