Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) - Green Mountains of Vermont

  • Provide full-scope midwifery care in both the outpatient clinic and hospital setting

  • Join four OB/GYN physicians and a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, supported by an experienced, highly autonomous nursing staff, respiratory therapists, and pediatricians

  • The practice facilitates approximately 300 births annually and includes an office located adjacent to Labor & Delivery for use while on call

  • Call responsibilities include serving as first call for OB patients, typically consisting of one 24-hour shift per week and one weekend per month

Candidate Requirements

  • Current RN and Certified Nurse Midwife licensure through the Vermont State Board of Nursing
  • Certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
  • DEA registration or the ability to obtain upon hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Minimum of two years of Certified Nurse Midwife experience is preferred
     

Preferred experience includes:

  • Ultrasound assessment and interpretation
  • Gynecologic procedures including IUD insertion, Nexplanon placement, incision and drainage procedures, and colposcopy
  • First assist experience during Cesarean sections
  • Both outpatient and hospital-based women's health practice
  • Quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
