OB/GYN Locums Opportunities in eastern North Carolina

Two different locums’ opportunities with the same regional health system

Opportunity 1:

• 24-hour call coverage at a 100-bed hospital with Level 1 Nursery and Level 2 Trauma ED
• 7a-7p with daily rounding, availability for all deliveries and emergency OB/GYN related surgeries
• Not required to be in facility all day
• 30-40 deliveries and 14 surgical cases monthly on average
• Inpatient census is 2-3 daily
• 3 labor rooms, 16 patient rooms, 6 newborn beds and 2 AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Instructors
• Required procedures include C-section, circumcision, pp tubals, vaginal deliveries, D&C laparotomy for ectopic pregnancy
• EMR is Epic
• Active NC license and DEA required along with BLS & NRP

Opportunity 2:

• 75% outpatient/25% inpatient
• Call of 1:4 (24-hour call 7a-7a)
• Monday thru Thursday 8a-5p, Friday 8a-1p (when on call for OB)
• Average clinic patients per day is 20-24
• Average admissions are 2 during day and 1 at night
• Required procedures: C-Section, hysterectomy, laparoscopy, and hysteroscopy
• Surgical cases average 12 per month
• EMR is Epic
• Active NC license and DEA required along with BLS & NRP
