  • Night shift coverage, 7p-7a. 12-hour shifts only.
  • The candidates seeking full-time employment can expect to work a 7 on 7 off schedule. The Hospitalist schedule allows for a balance between personal and professional life.
  • There is a dedicated employee to rounding 8 hours M-F.
  • Hospital has a census of 10-14 patients per physician shift. 60% of patients are seen by the Hospitalist and 40% are seen by Private Physicians.
  • Nocturnist does admitting through the ER and covers floor patients with 2 medical Residents assisting
  • Supervising Role of Hospitalist/Nocturnist:  Responsible for Resident and Nurse Practitioner
  • ICU is open and managed by Intensivists
  • Nocturnist responds to in-house codes
  • Rounding of floor calls and rapids
  • Average Number of Patients Per Day: 5-15 (adult population only, no peds)
  • Nazareth Hospital is not a trauma center
  • 17 ICU beds
  • EMR: Meditech
  • 30-60 day credentialing timeframe
  • Must be comfortable with and able to do central lines
  • Additional common procedures:  intubation, non-displaced fractures, evaluation and management of BP issues, EKG interpretation, lumbar puncture
