- Pathologist is expected to keep somewhat regular office hours, with some flexibility on sign out days
- No Call
- Handles the needs of a busy community hospital with an on-site cancer center
- The pathologist we seek will be facile with independently working up and reporting complex cancer resections, including use of staging templates
- Other responsibilities include coverage of frozen sections and fine needle assessments of thyroid and pulmonary cases. Daily SP sign-out is a general sign out of GI, liver, GYN, GU, and mass-directed CT-guided biopsies, and complex cancer resections from nearly all organ systems. Daily cytology sign out includes a robust number of pulmonology EBUS cases, thyroids, and fluids (no Pap tests)
- There is no autopsy responsibility
- Pathologist Assistant is on site daily for grossing and other lab maintenance, and on rare occasion, the pathologist will be required to gross in the PA's absence
- Digital-option Tumor boards occur Wednesday and Thursday mornings 07:30 - 08:30, Tuesday 12 - 1:30, and Friday 12 – 1
- Board Certified Required
- Active MD License
- IMLC Accepted
- Support Staff: 1 PA/NP, 2 Office Staff
- EMR: EPIC
