Locums - Santa Maria, California, Anesthesiology Job

  • MUST work at least 5 shifts in a row
  • Shift times for OR: 7am – 3pm or 7am-5pm 8 or 10 hr. shifts available M-F, 7a-7p Sat/Sun NO CALL
  • Shift times for OB: 7pm-7am, No Call., inhouse OB shift coverage. Mon-Sun, Mon-Fri, Fri-Sun.
  • Setting: Hospital/OR
  • Duties: OR cases: General, Ortho, Neuro, Spine, Gyn, ENT, Robot, Urology, GI, no cardiac
  • OB: Evening OB coverage, must have recent OB experience and be able to perform Spinals, Epidurals, elective, urgent and STAT cesarean sections
  • Required Procedures: OR: Nerve Blocks
  • OB: Epidural, Spinal
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Support Staff: Other MD/DO available during day for help, anesthesia tech
  • Admissions per day: None
  • OB: Deliveries per month ~250-300
  • Patients/day: OR: 3-9 cases per day
  • OB: 5-10 procedures in 24 hrs.
  • Types of cases: OR cases: General, Ortho, Neuro, Spine, Gyn, ENT, Robot, Urology, GI, no cardiac
  • OB cases: Epidural, Spinal, Cesarean Section, rare D&C or Cesarean Hysterectomy
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • CA State License – Required
  • Residency required, not a fellowship
  • Other Certifications – ACLS/BLS and DEA
