Locums – Harrisonburg, Virginia, OB/GYN Hospitalist Opening
Clinical Role:

• 12- or 24-Hour Shifts: 24hr Time
• 8 Shifts per block needed to be filled by agency
• Will take Truly Board Eligible and Board Certified
• Active VA License
• Types of Cases: Obstetrics and Hospitalist
• Job Setting: Inpatient
• NICU Level: II – 32 weeks gestation and above. Baby-Friendly Hospital
• Total Hospital Deliveries (monthly avg.): 158
• Estimated Deliveries for Hospitalists (monthly): 125
• Estimated Patient Encounters for Hospitalists (not including deliveries) (monthly): 325
• No MFM onsite UVA MFM supports program
• In-house Anesthesia
• Hospitalists to Provide GYN Coverage: Yes, emergent only
• Hospitalists Required to Perform Circumcisions: on an as needed basis- pediatricians perform them
• Hospitalists Needed for First Assist: Yes, as needed or when available
• 2.0 program with MD and CNM 24/7
• First Assist Available to the Hospitalists
• Hospitalists to Backup Midwives
• Hospitalists do not Backup Family Practice
• Backup Available to the Hospitalists
