Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology Opening in Massachusetts ~ 40 Miles South of Boston

  • Seeking a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner
  • 3-5 Years’ experience in a hospital-based cardiology environment-Required
  • Must be familiar with using an electronic health record & experienced with short term, solution focused, medication therapies
  • Hospital Employed Position
  • Inpatient & Outpatient Responsibilities
    • Manage Inpatient Consult Service & Hand-off communication to cardiologist on service
    • Provide follow up patient care on inpatient consults
    • Manage outpatient clinic patients
    • Perform cardiology stress testing
    • Perform a physical examination of each patient or assure that a recent physical examination of each patient has been performed prior to the arrangement of and/or provision of cardiology procedural services
    • Assess physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview and by obtaining health and medical history of patient
    • Provide preparation, consents and orders for scheduled cardiology procedures
    • Arrange for necessary testing and/or consultation that may be required
    • Communicate with the referring physician to assure continuity of care
    • Communicates and works with NP providers, cardiologists, and other cardiology team members
    • Manage Outpatient Follow-up Visits & Call Backs
    • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned
    • Participates in interdisciplinary continuous quality improvement activities on an ongoing basis
    • Drive between offices and various meeting locations
