Locum Tenens – Radiologist (Float Pool)
Location: Whittier, California
Start Date: October 1, 2025
Number of Providers Needed: 3
Setting: Mix of On-site and Remote Opportunities Position Type

• Locum Tenens
• Coverage Type: Scheduled hours
• Support: Locum will work alongside an established radiology team
• Reason for Need: Increased imaging volume exceeding current FTE capacity

Shift Options & Availability Requirements
Remote Afternoon Shifts (7–9 hours per shift)

• Shifts ending by early evening
• Time Zone: PST preferred (Hawaii or West Coast; ideally LA or Orange Counties)
• Minimum Shifts: 10/month
• Weekend Coverage: Highly preferred; minimum shifts can be reduced if weekends are covered
• Schedule Note: Must share equal burden of Fridays – no Mon–Thurs-only candidates

On-Site Day Shifts (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

• Location: Must reside in or near LA or Orange Counties (no lodging/travel covered)
• Minimum Shifts: 5/month
• Weekend Coverage: Highly preferred; minimum shifts can be reduced with weekend availability
• Incentive: Higher pay rate offered for on-site coverage

Remote Evening Shifts (6:00 PM–1:00 AM)

• Start Times: Between 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Example shifts: 6pm–1am, 7pm–1am, 8pm–1am, 9pm–1am
• Minimum Shifts: 8/month
• Time Zone: PST/Hawaii time zones strongly preferred
• Weekend Coverage: Highly preferred; minimum shifts can be reduced with weekend availability

Clinical Scope

• Modalities: CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine (flexible subset)
• Procedures:
  • Remote: No procedures
  • On-site: GI Fluoro, lumbar puncture
• Volume: Average 60–90 wRVUs/day

Technology

• PACS: Change Healthcare
• Voice Recognition: Nuance PowerScribe

Requirements

• Board Certification: Diagnostic Radiology – Required
• Fellowship Training (Preferred):
  • Neuroradiology
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Chest
  • Body/Abdomen
  • Interventional Radiology
• Clinical Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year post-training
  • No employment gaps >6 months
• Licensing:
  • Active CA Medical License
  • Active CA Radiology Health & Safety (RHL)
  • CA X-ray Operator & Supervisor Permit – Required
• Clinical Proficiency:
  • Brain and Spine MRI
  • Stroke protocol CT/CTA/CTP
• References Required: 3 recent peer references
