Position Overview
Seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Director of Hospital Medicine to lead a dynamic inpatient team in Syracuse, NY. This full-time leadership role offers stable weekday hours, no call, and the opportunity to shape clinical operations within a respected community-focused hospital system.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 40–50 hours per week
- Call: None
- Weekends: None
- Setting: Inpatient
- EMR: Epic
- Team Structure: Leads the Hospital Medicine team; collaborates with administrative and clinical staff to enhance operations and quality of care
- Lead and manage the Hospital Medicine team in a full-time day shift leadership role
- Oversee inpatient care delivery and performance metrics
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to implement best practices and quality initiatives
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards
- Maintain and improve service quality, safety, and efficiency
- Support recruitment, training, and retention within the department
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and workflow management
- Experience: Required – will not accept new graduates
- Board Certification:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (must achieve certification within 2 years)
- Internal Medicine or Family Medicine background preferred
