Urgent Need Coverage: April 2026 through end of August

Schedule & Shift Details:

• Weekly Monday–Friday coverage, 8:00am–5:00pm
• Coverage primarily inpatient, some outpatient during physician vacation
• Oversight of a nurse practitioner
• Willingness to enroll patients in research studies
• Call Coverage

Position Overview:
This locums Hematology/Oncology assignment provides both inpatient and limited outpatient coverage for adult patients. The provider will manage diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care for oncology and hematology patients, support the nurse practitioner, and participate in research study enrollment as needed.
Daily Breakdown / Responsibilities:

• Average hospital patients per day: 12–15
• Adult patient population
• Inpatient oncology and hematology care
• Outpatient coverage as needed for physician vacation
• Collaboration with practice staff and oversight of NP

Facility Details:

• Practice Setting: Inpatient with some outpatient coverage
• Number of Physicians: 2
• EMR: EPIC
• Patient Population: Adult

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
• Active Virginia license required
• BLS certification required
