Locums – Cardiothoracic Surgeon – Fort Myers, Florida

Start: ASAP Start – Ongoing Need

Schedule / Coverage Details:

• Monday–Friday, 6:45am–5:00pm

• No clinic / inpatient consult clinics

• Focus: inpatient surgical cases, pre- and postoperative rounding

• Rounding done with APP — APP creates progress and consult notes; surgeon must add their own note and cosign

Weekend Coverage:

• Approximately 1 weekend per month

• Weekend duty includes: rounding with PA, all new consults, emergent OR cases only

Night Call Structure:

• Weekday call: 4:30pm – 7:00am

• Weekend call: Friday 4:30pm – Monday 7:00am (covered by weekend surgeon)

• Surgical PA is first call for all floor patients

• CVICU has a CTS APP most nights and will escalate to surgeon if needed

• ER calls surgeon directly if needed

• Monday–Thursday call rotated evenly among surgeons

Requirements:

• Board Certified – Required

• Active Florida license – Required

• DEA & CSR – Required
