Locums – Cardiovascular Surgery – Saint Paul, Minnesota (IMLC Accepted)

Start: ASAP (January 1 preferred but unlikely — credentials committee meets January 5, 2026)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7a–5p
Call: 1 in 3 rotation — includes day shift, overnight (5p–7a), and 24-hr weekend call

Case Types (Predominantly Routine):

• CABG / Valves / Standard Cardiothoracic

• Approximate annual volumes:
  • CAB / Valves: 250
  • TAVR standbys: 200
  • Clips: 100
  • Lead Extractions: 35

• Additional procedures include:
  • Aortic aneurysms & dissections
  • Atrial fibrillation surgery
  • Cardiac valve repair & replacement
  • Carotid endarterectomy
  • Congenital heart surgery
  • Coronary artery bypass surgery
  • Esophageal surgery (minimally invasive)
  • Heart failure surgery
  • Heart transplant surgery
  • LVAD surgery
  • Lung surgery
  • Minimally invasive & robotic heart surgery
  • Thoracoscopic surgery

Licensure:

• Active MN License OR IMLC Accepted
