Locum Emergency Medicine Physician – Largo, Florida

RecruitWell is seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for an ASAP, long-term locum opportunity in Largo, Florida. This is a high-acuity emergency department with strong specialty support and excellent pathology, offering a full year of coverage needs.

Coverage Details

Start: ASAP
Duration: 1 year
Shift Lengths: 9–12 hours
Shift Coverage Needed: AM & PM shifts
Orientation: One shift
Reason for Coverage: Two physicians relocated

Practice Environment

Emergency Department Bays: 30
Patient Volume: ~2.0 patients/hour
Patient Mix: High acuity
Service Line: Strong specialty coverage with minimal transfers
Triage Model:
- Nurse/APP triage for lower acuity
- 2 APPs covering 10-hour shifts
Support Staff: Experienced nurses and ED techs
EMR: Meditech FLG

Candidate Requirements

Board Certified ABEM or ABOEM – Required
Emergency Medicine Residency Trained – Required
New Grads Accepted
2 years of case logs – Required
ACLS & PALS – Required
