Position Overview

A large, well-established multispecialty group in the Bronx is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant with endocrinology experience to join its growing endocrinology team. This is a permanent, primarily outpatient role with a predictable weekday schedule and opportunities to collaborate closely with endocrinologists and other specialty APPs.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of endocrine disorders, including:

  • Diabetes mellitus (Type 1, Type 2, gestational)

  • Thyroid disease

  • Adrenal and pituitary disorders

  • Osteoporosis

  • Metabolic syndromes

• Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations focused on endocrine conditions

• Initiate and adjust medications, including insulin and hormone therapies, under collaborative protocols

• Interpret laboratory results, imaging, and diagnostic studies related to endocrine disease

• Provide detailed patient education on disease management, medications, lifestyle modification, and self-care

• Manage and support diabetes technologies such as CGMs and insulin pumps

• Monitor patient progress, review abnormal labs, manage refills, and handle follow-up concerns

• Collaborate with endocrinologists and care team members to ensure continuity and quality of care

• Document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently in the EMR

• Participate in care coordination, quality initiatives, and population health efforts

• Occasional involvement in inpatient endocrinology consultations, as needed

Schedule

• Monday–Friday

• 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

• No nights or weekends mentioned

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant

• Post-training endocrinology experience required

• Strong clinical skills in diabetes management

• Experience with CGMs and insulin pumps strongly preferred

• Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, not required

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary: $135,000–$150,000 annually
