General Surgeon Opportunity – Kane

Position Overview

A nonprofit health system in Northwest Pennsylvania is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeon to join its hospital-based practice in Kane, PA. This role offers true clinical autonomy, a steady referral base, and the opportunity to build a thriving community-focused surgical practice.

• Permanent, full-time position

• Solo general surgery practice with full hospital and administrative support

• Employed model with Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility

• Immigration sponsorship not available

Practice Highlights

• Independent Role: Enjoy the autonomy of a solo practice while being fully supported by hospital leadership and staff

• Busy, Rewarding Schedule: Opportunity to grow procedural volume to approximately 80–100 cases per month

• Bread-and-Butter General Surgery: Case mix includes:

  • Laparoscopic procedures

  • Laparoscopic cholecystectomy

  • Hernia repairs

  • Endoscopies and colonoscopies

  • Enterectomies and additional general surgery cases

• No OB responsibilities

• Streamlined Care Model: All admissions managed directly through the hospital

• Regional Reach: Referrals from a network of clinics serving Bradford, Johnsonburg, Kane, Mt. Jewett, Ridgway, Sheffield, and Warren

• Integrated Technology: Epic EMR across the system

• Hands-On Environment: No robotic program—ideal for surgeons who value traditional operative techniques and continuity of care

• 14-bed Critical Access Hospital

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery

• Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license

• DEA certification
