Locums – Kingsport, Tennessee – Electrophysiology Opening (IMLC Accepted)

Coverage Details

• Schedule: 1 week per month (Monday–Friday) + 1 weekend of call per month

• Weekday Hours: Approximately 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (hospital-based; varies based on inpatient needs)

• Weekend Call: Friday 6:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM (24-hour call coverage)

• Call Frequency: 1 weekend per month

• Some general cardiology coverage required during weekend call

• Combination of hourly coverage + call

Practice Details

• Setting: Hospital-based Electrophysiology

• Support Staff: 1 Electrophysiology APP assisting with hospital services

• Patient Volume:

  • ~15 inpatients per day

  • 2–3 device implants per day

• Patient Population: Adults (18+)

Procedures & Equipment

Primary Procedures:

• Implantable cardiac devices

• Ablation therapies

• Implantable Loop Recorders (ILRs)

• Cardioversions with moderate sedation

Special Equipment:

• CARTO Mapping System

• Abbott Mapping System

• Opal HDx Mapping System

Requirements

• Board Certified in Electrophysiology – Required

• Active Tennessee License – Required

• IMLC Accepted

• BLS & ACLS – Required

• DEA – Required (unless non-prescribing; DEA exemption form available)

• Minimum 2 years of experience – Required

• Clean file with recent background check – Required

• Vaccinations – Mandatory

  • MMR: 2 doses or positive numeric titers

  • Varicella: 2 doses or positive numeric titers

  • Flu: Required during flu season

  • TB: TB skin test (2-step if required), QuantiFERON, or clear chest X-ray within past year
