Locums – OB/GYN Hospitalist
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Setting: Inpatient + On-Site Call Coverage QUICK SCREEN – REQUIRED
Required:

• Board Certified OB/GYN (Board Eligible: Yes)
• Active Virginia License
• Willing to remain on-site for entire shift
• Willing to complete 1-hour Meditech orientation (if not experienced)

COVERAGE MODEL

• Restricted, on-site call coverage
• Must remain on hospital campus for full shift
• Private sleep room and physicians’ lounge available
• On-site inpatient rounding + evening call
• Weekend call coverage required

April

• April 15 (6am) – April 16 (7am)
• April 21 (6am) – April 22 (7am)
• April 27 (6am) – April 28 (7am)

May

• May 6 (6am) – May 7 (7am)
• May 14 (6am) – May 15 (7am)
• May 29 (6am) – June 1 (7am)

Ongoing need: Up to 11 days per month of call coverage. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Locums physician responsible for:

• Laboring patients
• Inductions
• Triage labor patients
• Deliveries (3–7 per day typical)
• ER consults
• Floor consults
• Trauma call
• Follow-up of established OB/GYN inpatients
• Coverage for L&D
• Emergent procedures
• Phone availability for two office NPs (emergent consults)

No OB Hospitalist backup model in place. PRACTICE DETAILS

• Daily patient volume: 11
• EMR:
  • eCW (Outpatient)
  • Meditech (Inpatient)
• Nursing unit staffing support provided
• Active recruitment underway
