Locums – OB Hospitalist
Location: Johnstown, Pennsylvania
IMLC Accepted QUICK SCREEN – REQUIRED

• Board Certified or Board Eligible – OB/GYN
• Active Pennsylvania License or IMLC
• Fellowship Required
• BLS
• ACLS
• ATLS
• ABLS

CALL COVERAGE DETAILS

• 24-hour call coverage: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Call only
• In-house call: No
• Call type: Beeper
• Includes up to 4 hours of daily rounding

Call Structure:

• 1 Midwife (CNM)
• 1 OB/GYN
• 1 MFM

SCHEDULED DATES

• May 31
• June 18 & 22
• July 13

WHEN PHYSICIAN MUST COME ONSITE
The on-call OB is called in for:

• Trial of labor after cesarean (TOLAC)
• Cesarean/antepartum rounding if no MFM on call
• Maternal transports
• If requested by CNM, ED, or consulting physician

Physician does not need to:

• Round on OB patients managed solely by CNMs
• Sign off on CNM care unless case meets escalation criteria

AVERAGE ONSITE TIME (ESTIMATED)

• Consult: < 90 minutes
• D&C: ~1 hour
• Laparoscopy/C-section: up to 2 hours
• TOLAC: Remain until delivery
• Average total onsite time typically does not exceed 6 hours

• C-Sections
• Operative vaginal delivery
• D&C
• OB/GYN surgical procedures
• Circumcisions
• Tubal ligation

• Trauma Level I facility
• EMR: Epic
• Assigned/unassigned rounding patients
• Full office and hospital delivery staff support
• Inpatient and outpatient population
