Locums – Orlando, Florida, Emergency Medicine Opening

Clinical Role:

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months
Practice setting: Emergency Department within a large tertiary care hospital
Level II Trauma Center with comprehensive stroke and STEMI/Heart Center capabilities
11 private patient care beds
Dedicated trauma room
Dedicated pediatric treatment room
Anticipated volume: approximately 30 patients per day
Patients requiring inpatient admission are transferred to the main campus for continued care with hospitalists, intensivists, and specialty teams

Designated Level II Trauma Center
Teaching hospital in collaboration with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine
State-of-the-art facility designed to provide advanced medical care with patient-centered comfort and convenience
System includes a main ER, pediatric ER, and five freestanding emergency departments across the region

Requirements:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) – Required
Emergency Medicine residency trained – Required
Family Medicine board certification accepted with:
- Minimum of 4 years Emergency Medicine experience and/or
- Emergency Medicine fellowship
ATLS – Required
ACLS – Required
PALS – Required
