Locums – Radiation Oncology
Location: Potsdam

• Start Date: May 19, 2026
• Coverage Need: 3 days during the week of May 18
• Preferred Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (flexible)
• Shift Options:
  • 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Call: Not required

Licensure

• New York License – Required (In Hand)

Board Status

• Board Certified – Required

Certifications

• BLS (AHA) – Required
• ACLS (AHA) – Required

Experience

• Minimum: 2 years recent experience
• EMR: Epic experience required

Clinical Setting

• Patient Population: Adult oncology patients
• Patient Volume: Approx. 10–15 patients per provider
• Unit Staffing:
  • Physician: 1
  • NP: 1
  • LPN: 1
• Medication Dispensing System: Pyxis
• Charting: Epic

Core Responsibilities

• Diagnose cancer and determine appropriate treatment strategies
• Develop personalized radiation therapy treatment plans
• Administer radiation therapy (including stereotactic radiosurgery and other advanced treatments)
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust plans as needed
• Manage side effects related to radiation therapy
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams
• Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives

• Level I Perinatal Center
• SAFE Designated Center
• Primary Stroke Center
• DNV Accredited Facility

Unit Policies

• Lunch Break: 30 minutes required
• Clock In/Out: At shift start and end
• Overtime: Must be approved
• Call-In Policy: 2-hour notice required (contact supervisor and agency)
• Cell Phone Use: Not permitted on unit

Dress Code

• Attire: Business casual
• Shoes: Closed-toe and closed-heel footwear required
• Appearance: Hair neat and natural colors; facial hair groomed
• Nails: Artificial nail enhancements prohibited; natural nails must be < ¼ inch
• Jewelry: Conservative; limited earrings; no facial or tongue jewelry
• Other: ID badge required; perfumes and strong fragrances prohibited
