Locums – Interventional Neurologist (Rockford, IL)

Setting: Comprehensive Stroke Program (Hospital + Clinic)

Position Details

• Type: Locum Tenens

• Schedule:

  • 24-hour shifts

  • 3 clinic days/week (12-hour days + night call)

  • Weekends: call coverage only

  • Must be available for minimum 7 consecutive shifts (more preferred)

• EMR: EPIC

Clinical Role

• Perform neurointerventional and endovascular procedures within a comprehensive stroke program

• Provide general neurology coverage as needed

• Manage ~15 inpatient cases/day, including consults, admissions, and ER cases

• Take CareHub transfer calls for neurology and neurointerventional cases

• Collaborate with hospitalists, neurosurgery, and referral facilities

• Partner with APPs on a shared neurointerventional/neurosurgery service

• Sign APP collaboration agreements and supervise as required

• APPs assist based on procedural volume and inpatient census
