Locum tenens opportunity

Start date: As soon as credentialed

Duration: 6+ months

Seeking a board certified urologist
-
Assignment: 1–2 weeks per month of 24-hour call with response time less than 30 minutes
-
Practice setting: Inpatient coverage at 3 facilities
-
Reason for coverage: Recruitment challenges
Schedule
-
Orientation: 3+ days, Monday–Thursday
-
FTE: 1.0
-
On-call coverage includes general urology, with emergent cases performed in the OR and non-emergent cases deferred to the following day
Clinical Details
-
Patients per day: 6–8 consults
-
APPs perform inpatient rounding and initial ER call coverage from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
-
Availability of XI and SI systems, plus block time
-
Support staff includes:
-
2 other physicians
-
5 RNs and 2 MAs for the surgeon
-
3 APPs
-
Required Procedures
-
Cystic procedures
-
Lithotripsy
-
Nephrectomy
-
Transurethral resection
-
Prostatectomy
-
Pyelolithotomy
Clinical Support and Technology
-
EMR: EPIC
-
Inpatient and ER coverage supported by APPs and team staff
Requirements
-
Board certified in Urology (required)
-
WA license highly preferred; LOQ for IMLC acceptable
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Clean malpractice/background checks highly preferred
-
Local providers highly preferred
