Locum – OB Hospitalist | Dover/Milford, Delaware (IMLC Accepted)
Clinical Role: Obstetrics Hospitalist
Referral Opportunity: Generous referral fees available for candidate referrals.

Start Date & Length of Need
  • Target Start: June 2026
  • Ongoing coverage
  • Minimum Candidate Commitment: 6 months

Schedule
  • Shift Type: 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
  • Coverage: Two hospitalists working simultaneously
    • One covers Labor & Delivery
    • One handles ED consults & GYN
  • Back-to-back 24-hour shifts not allowed
  • Specific Open Shifts:
    • June 2026: 5 (12hr PM), 6, 10 (12hr AM), 12 (12hr AM), 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 23, 27, 30 (24hr)
    • July 2026: 3, 4, 12, 15 (12hr AM), 16 (12hr AM), 16, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 26, 29, 31 (24hr)

Practice Details
  • Specialty: OB/GYN
  • Practice Setting: Inpatient
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Reason for Coverage: Physician vacancies
  • Patient Volume: 12–18 encounters per 24-hour shift
  • Inpatient Volume: ~125 births/month
  • NICU Level II
  • Support Staff: Midwives ~70% coverage; additional RN support hiring ongoing

Responsibilities
  • Inpatient OB and emergent GYN cases
  • Standard Laborist cases
  • ED consults and GYN coverage
  • Ability to work independently with diverse patient population

Experience & Licensure Requirements
  • Board Certification or Truly Board Eligible: Required (OB/GYN)
  • License: Active Delaware License or IMLC (LOQs prioritized for quick start)

Other Requirements
  • Must be able to work independently in a collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with inpatient and emergent OB/GYN care
