Locum-to-Perm – Paducah, Kentucky | Hematology/Oncology Opportunity

Clinical Role

Excellent locum-to-perm opportunity for a Hematology/Oncology physician seeking a balanced practice with strong clinical support and long-term potential. This role offers a primarily outpatient focus with manageable call responsibilities and a steady patient volume.

Start Date: ASAP – ongoing need

Position Highlights:

95% outpatient clinic / 5% inpatient coverage
Adult patient population (100%)
Case mix: 70% Oncology, 30% Hematology
Opportunity to transition into a permanent position

Schedule & Coverage

Monday–Friday clinic schedule
Call responsibilities include:
- EMTALA call shifts (7a–7a), approximately 3–8 shifts per month
- 2 nights per week (5p–8a)
- Every other weekend: Friday 5p – Monday 8a

Clinical Details

Average patient volume: ~22 patients per day
2–3 new consults daily
Outpatient and inpatient Hem/Onc responsibilities

Procedures & Skills:

Intrathecal chemotherapy (required)
Intracavitary chemotherapy (highly preferred)

Support & Technology:

EMR: Epic

Requirements

Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
Hematology/Oncology Fellowship required
Kentucky license (highly preferred)
BLS & ACLS certifications required
COVID vaccination required
Experience in both outpatient and inpatient Hem/Onc required
