Seeking a highly experienced and specialized Clinical Psychologist to join a hospital-based consult service in Dallas, Texas. The candidate will provide advanced psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment while contributing to program development, patient-centered care, and clinical excellence across diverse populations.
Position Type

- Shift: Day shift – approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (standard business hours)
- Deliver specialized psychological services in correctional, adult, and women’s health settings.
- Provide clinical leadership, including supervising staff, advanced practice providers, and mentoring teams.
- Collaborate with Behavioral Health and multidisciplinary teams for integrated care delivery.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate departmental goals aligned with organizational priorities.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and standards.
- Contribute to clinical protocols, policies, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in teaching, training, and onboarding activities for residents, students, and staff.
- Foster patient-centered care and effective communication with patients, families, and external partners.
- Evaluate workflows, staffing models, and operational processes to improve efficiency.
- Education: PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology
- Specialty Training: Explicit training, supervision, and clinical experience in a specialized area (e.g., corrections, pain, child, palliative, addictions)
- Experience: Significant experience managing cases from start to finish in specialty area
- Clinical Skills:
- Evidence-based specialized treatments (EBSTs)
- Basic psychological assessment techniques
- Psychotherapeutic interventions, family systems, developmental orientation
- Ability to meet age-related and handicapped patient needs
- Professional Skills:
- Strong oral and written communication
- Interpersonal and patient-centered skills
- Knowledge of clinical symptoms and treatment development
- Preferred: Spanish proficiency
- Licensure as a Clinical Psychologist (state requirements apply)
- Preferred certifications in specialty treatment approaches
- Demonstrates knowledge of regulations, laws, and clinical guidelines
- Maintains professional development through seminars, journals, and active participation in professional organizations
- Ability to improve work processes and enhance customer/patient satisfaction
