Locums – Lincoln, Nebraska | Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeon Opportunity (IMLC Welcome)

Clinical Role

High-impact locum opportunity for a Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical coverage in a well-supported hospital setting. Ideal for surgeons seeking block scheduling with full-scope CT surgery responsibilities.

Coverage Needs:

9–10 consecutive days per month
Coverage needed in June, July, and August
Must include 2 weekends per assignment

Schedule:

24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

Full-scope Cardiothoracic surgery responsibilities, including:
- Surgical procedures
- Inpatient rounding
- Consults
- Call coverage

Patient Volume:

Average ICU census: ~5 patients per day
Average admissions: ~3 per day

Support & Technology:

EMR: Epic

Requirements

Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Active Nebraska license or IMLC (LOQ in hand) required
Must be actively practicing (recent experience within the last month)
BLS and DEA required
Clean malpractice history highly preferred
Local candidates preferred (not required)
