Locums – Chambersburg, Pennsylvania | Interventional Cardiology Opportunity

Clinical Role

Join a well-established interventional cardiology program offering a mix of clinic, inpatient care, and procedural work. This is a great opportunity for an Interventional Cardiologist seeking flexible, recurring coverage with strong cath lab and APP support.

Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: Ongoing

Position Highlights:

Mix of outpatient clinic and interventional procedures
STEMI call coverage included when on assignment
Flexible schedule (coverage every other month + vacation coverage)
Strong support from cath lab staff and APPs
Willing to license qualified candidates

Schedule & Coverage

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Up to 40 hours per week
Coverage needed every other month and for vacation gaps
Nightly call required during coverage (includes STEMI call)

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

Patient population: Adults (18–100)
Patient volume: ~18 patients per day

Responsibilities Include:

Outpatient clinic evaluations and follow-ups
Inpatient consults and management
Performing interventional cardiology procedures
STEMI call coverage and emergency interventions

Procedures Include:

Right and left heart catheterizations (R/LHC)
Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
Balloon angioplasty
Intra-aortic balloon pump placement
Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS)

Practice Setting & Support

Settings include hospital, clinic, and academic/training environments
Support staff:
- Dedicated outpatient clinical team
- Inpatient APP support
- Experienced cath lab staff
Hospital size: 270 beds

Technology:

EMR: Epic

Requirements

Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
Active Pennsylvania license required - IMLC Accepted
DEA required
ACLS & BLS certifications required
