Clinical Role
Join a robust gastroenterology locums opportunity offering a mix of inpatient care, procedures, and continuous call coverage in a hospital-based setting. This role is ideal for providers seeking consistent monthly work with a balance of procedural and consultative responsibilities.

Position Highlights:

Consistent 2–3 weeks per month coverage

Blend of inpatient consults, rounding, and procedures

Daily procedural volume with both inpatient and some outpatient cases

No ERCP or EUS required

Stable hospital environment with steady workflow
Schedule & Coverage

Coverage needed: 2–3 weeks per month

Monday–Friday:

7:00 AM start
-
Rounding, consults, and procedures

Call coverage:

24-hour call Friday 5:00 PM – Friday 5:00 PM

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Setting: Hospital (163 beds)
Patient population: Adults (18+)
Responsibilities Include:
-
Managing inpatient GI consults and rounding
-
Performing daily procedures (inpatient and limited outpatient)
-
Providing continuous call coverage
-
Evaluating and treating a variety of GI conditions
Procedures:
-
General GI procedures
-
4–6 outpatient procedures per day (in addition to inpatient cases)

No ERCP or EUS required
Support & Technology

Hospital-based support staff available

Efficient workflow for both inpatient and procedural care
Technology:

EMR: Epic
Requirements
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology

Active Pennsylvania license – required
-
IMLC accepted
-
BLS & ACLS required
-
DEA required
-
Minimum 1 year of experience required
