Locum Tenens – Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Location: Hollywood, Florida
Openings: 2
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; consecutive shifts available; 8–10 hour shifts; no weekends; no call
PRN coverage accepted

Key Credentials & Licensing

• Board Certification: Required (BC only; BE not accepted)
• State License: Active Florida License required
• Experience: 2 years post-training in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia (no new grads)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS

Clinical Responsibilities

• Pediatric cardiac anesthesia coverage (solo and 2:1 with medical direction)
• Case volume: ~800/month (200 open hearts, 10+ transplants, 500 caths)
• Majority case mix: General Surgery, Orthopedics, GU, ENT, Dental
• Patient acuity: 60% sick, 40% healthy
• Medically directed: Yes (50% supervised, 50% solo cases)
• Required procedures: Central lines, arterial lines, pressors

• Facility: Level I Pediatric Trauma, 11 ORs
• EMR: Epic
• Support Staff: 2 CRNAs, 1 MD
