Inpatient PM&R Physician – Boynton Beach, Florida (Palm Beach County)

Licensure

• Florida Medical License – Required (or eligible)

Certifications (Required)

• Board Certified or Board Eligible – Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
• Completion of ACGME-accredited PM&R Residency

Clinical Overview

• Setting: Hospital-based inpatient rehab unit
• Unit Size: 36 beds
• Model: 4:1 group structure
• Service Line: Opportunity to help develop regional PM&R program

---

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations (musculoskeletal, neurologic, pain-related)
• Develop individualized rehabilitation treatment plans
• Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams

Procedures may include:

• Joint and soft-tissue injections
• Trigger point injections
• Ultrasound-guided procedures
• EMG/NCS (if applicable)
• Fluoroscopic spine/interventional procedures (if credentialed)
• Manage care transitions from inpatient rehab, acute care, and ED
• Coordinate PT, OT, speech therapy, orthotics, prosthetics, and DME

Team Collaboration

• Work with PT/OT, pain management, neurology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, primary care, and case management
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and care coordination

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Inpatient or outpatient rehab experience preferred
• Fellowship training (pain, spine, sports, brain injury, EMG) – Preferred, not required
• Strong team-oriented approach
