Availability
- Position Type: Hospital-employed, Full-time
- Schedule: Four-day work week
- Call: 1:4 coverage, must be within 20 minutes of hospital
Licensure & Certifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible – Pediatrics (new graduates accepted if truly BE)
- PALS and NRP required (hospital covers costs)
- Must maintain active certification (no lapsed Board Certification)
- Visa candidates not accepted
- Locum candidates not accepted
Clinical Overview
- Setting: Community hospital, outpatient and inpatient care
- Nursery Level: Level I
- Annual Births: ~400
- Responsibilities:
- Outpatient clinic care
- Rounding on newborns
- Attend C-sections
- Take call for hospital and practice
- Practice Team: 4 physicians, 2 full-time CNPs, 2 part-time CNPs, 1 behavioral health CNP, lactation consultant
- Hospital Coverage: Single hospital; transports newborns to tertiary centers as needed
