Locums – Waynesboro, Pennsylvania | Gastroenterology Opportunity (IMLC Welcome)
Clinical Role
Join a collaborative gastroenterology team providing a balanced mix of outpatient endoscopic procedures and inpatient consultative care. This opportunity offers a predictable schedule, strong APP support, and a manageable patient volume within a community hospital setting.
Start Date: June 29, 2026
Contract Length: 6 months
Coverage: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Schedule & Coverage
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
- Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Coverage Needed: 2 weeks per month
- Procedures: Colonoscopies and EGDs, along with inpatient consultations
Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Setting: Clinic and Hospital
Department: Gastroenterology
Patient Population: Adults (ages 18–99)
Patient Volume: 10–11 patients per day
Responsibilities Include:
- Performing colonoscopies and esophagogastroduodenoscopies (EGDs)
- Managing inpatient gastroenterology consults
- Providing comprehensive GI evaluations and treatment plans
- Collaborating with physicians, APPs, and clinical staff
- Ensuring accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
Procedures
- Colonoscopy
- Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
- No additional special procedures required
Support & Technology
Support Staff:
- 1 Gastroenterologist
- 3 Advanced Practice Providers
- 3 Clinical Staff
- 2 Non-clinical Staff

- Community hospital with approximately 30 beds

- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Board Certified Gastroenterologist – Required
- Active Pennsylvania Medical License – Required
- IMLC participation – Accepted
- DEA – Required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience – Required
