Clinical Role
A healthcare system in central Pennsylvania is seeking a Board-Certified CRNA to provide float pool coverage between two facilities in Huntingdon and Tyrone. This assignment offers a flexible PRN schedule, a mix of solo and medically directed practice, and a diverse range of surgical cases in a supportive hospital environment.
Start Date: April 20, 2026
Contract Length: 6 months
Coverage Need: 2–3 shifts per week (PRN)

Schedule & Coverage
Immediate Open Shifts (Tyrone):
- April 20, 2026
- April 21, 2026
- April 22, 2026
- April 23, 2026
Ongoing Schedule:
- Tyrone: Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Huntingdon: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Coverage Type: PRN, 2–3 days per week
Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Practice Setting: Hospital-based anesthesia services
Facility Details:
- Tyrone: 25-bed Critical Access Hospital
- Predominantly solo, non–medically directed practice
- Huntingdon: 71-bed hospital
- Anesthesiologist available for support
Patient Volume:
- Less than 20 patients per day
Patient Population:
- Primarily adult patients
- Occasional pediatric ENT cases (supported by a pediatric anesthesiologist)
Case Mix Includes:
- General surgery
- Orthopedics
- Ophthalmology
- Gynecology
- ENT
- Plastic surgery
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with regional anesthesia, including:
- Spinal anesthesia
- Peripheral nerve blocks
(Helpful but not required)
Support & Technology
Support Staff:
- Tyrone: Predominantly solo practice
- Huntingdon: Anesthesiologist support available
Technology:
- EMR: Cerner
Credentialing Timeframe:
- 1–2 weeks for providers with clean files (temporary privileges available)
Requirements
- Board Certified CRNA (NBCRNA) – Required
- Active Pennsylvania State License – Required
- BLS and ACLS Certifications – Required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, or at least 1 year of independent practice – Required
