Locums – Huntingdon, Pennsylvania – CRNA Opening (Float Pool)

Position Overview:
RecruitWell is seeking a Board-Certified CRNA to provide locum tenens float coverage between facilities in Huntingdon and Tyrone, Pennsylvania. This opportunity offers a flexible, PRN-style schedule with a mix of independent and medically directed practice settings. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working both solo and within a care team model.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: April 20, 2026
• Contract Length: 6 months
• Schedule:
  • 2–3 shifts per week (PRN coverage)
  • Tyrone: Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
  • Huntingdon: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Practice Setting: Hospital-based (float pool between two facilities)
• Patient Volume: Fewer than 20 patients per day
• Patient Population: Primarily adult, with occasional pediatric ENT cases
  • Pediatric anesthesiologist available for pediatric cases
• Hospital Size:
  • Tyrone: 25-bed critical access hospital
  • Huntingdon: 71-bed hospital
• EMR: Cerner

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care across a variety of surgical specialties
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and post-operative assessments
• Develop and implement anesthesia plans tailored to each patient
• Manage airway and monitor patients throughout procedures
• Collaborate with surgical teams and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float between Tyrone and Huntingdon facilities as needed

• Tyrone: Predominantly independent practice (non-medically directed)
• Huntingdon: Medically directed with anesthesiologist support

Preferred Skills

• Experience with regional anesthesia techniques, including:
  • Spinals
  • Peripheral nerve blocks
    (Helpful but not required)

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certification: NBCRNA – Required
• State License: Active Pennsylvania license – Required
• Certifications:
  • BLS – Required
  • ACLS – Required
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience, OR
  • At least 1 year working independently
