Locums Pediatrics Hospitalist – Mountain Home, Arkansas

Clinical Role: Pediatric Hospitalist – Weekend Coverage

Key Details

• Schedule: Strict Friday 5 PM – Monday 7 AM, no accommodations
• Weekend Coverage: 1 weekend/month
• Call Type: Not in-house; can take call from hotel/home
• Call Response Time: 30 minutes

Required Dates (Urgent Coverage)

• June 5 Noon – June 8 7 AM
• June 19 Noon – June 22 7 AM

---

Patient Volume & Responsibilities

• Inpatient Med-Peds Unit: 1–2 patients per weekend
• Newborn Nursery: ~5 babies over the weekend
• ER Coverage: 2–3 calls/day, generally phone-managed
• Onsite Rounds: At least once daily Saturday & Sunday in inpatient unit & nursery
• Skills Required: Intubation, line placement, stabilize infants for transport
• Procedures Not Required: Circumcision

Licensure & Certification

• Board Certification: Pediatrics – BC preferred, BE okay
• State License: Arkansas – REQUIRED
• DEA: REQUIRED
• Willing to License: NO

Experience

• Newer graduates welcome
• Board Eligible acceptable; Board Certified preferred
