Position Overview:
RecruitWell is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urologist for a locum tenens opportunity in York, Pennsylvania. This is a clinic and procedural-based role with a balanced mix of office visits and urologic procedures in a well-supported hospital setting.

- June 8th 7A-June 12th 7A
- June 22nd -June 26th 5P
- August 3rd 7A-Aug 7th 5P
- October 5th 7A-19th 7A
- Ongoing Need: Full-week coverage opportunities available
- Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 1-hour lunch break
- Setting: Hospital-based clinic and procedural care
- EMR: EPIC
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide general urology care in clinic and procedural settings
- Perform a mix of office visits and surgical procedures
- Supervise NPs/PAs (new APPs on team)
- Manage adult patient population (18+)
- Handle occasional emergency cases (e.g., torsion) if on call
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC
Patient Volume & Workflow
- Average Patients Per Day: 24–28
- Mix of clinic visits and procedures (cysto/stents, etc.)
- Flexible volume depending on urgency
Procedures & Skills
Core Procedures:
- Vasectomy (required)
- Vasectomy reversal (preferred, not required)
- Cystoscopy (OR)
- Prostate procedures
- Ureteroscopy (OR)
- Lithotripsy
- Orchiopexy
Additional/Occasional:
- Penile plication
- Penile implants (rare)
- Circumcision (rare, OB typically manages)
- Robotic Surgery: Available
- Scopes: Optional depending on provider experience
Facility & Support
- Operating Rooms: 16 total (York Hospital + Apple Hill Surgery Center)
- Support Staff:
- 4 Medical Assistants (MAs)
- 1 Clinical Support Associate (CSA)
- 1 Registered Nurse (RN)
- Well-equipped office with cystoscope, towers, and injection capabilities
Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology – Required
- Active Pennsylvania License – Preferred for quicker start
- IMLC accepted
- DEA – Required
- Minimum 1 year experience – Required
